The Destination Gate Comes Before the Price

A grid-interactive unit that is approved in one country may be unsellable in the next. Voltage and frequency are the obvious part; the harder part is the set of grid-support functions the local utility expects: anti-islanding behaviour, ride-through, reactive power modes and the approved equipment list itself. Ask the supplier for written confirmation of the destination setting, and have your Engineer or a licensed installer check it against the current utility list. Record the firmware revision on the golden sample and require written notice before any component or firmware substitution. A logo on the housing and a translated manual are straightforward, but changing the display, communication board, enclosure or the firmware region can invalidate existing reports.
