Electric Tricycle Rear Axle Assembly – Wholesale

Electric tricycle rear axle and differential assemblies sourced from China against a fitment drawing. We confirm mounting dimensions, gear ratio, half-shaft and brake interfaces, wheel fixing and load duty before a batch is approved.

CinoSourcing is a buy-side sourcing agent and freight forwarder, not an axle factory. Prices, MOQ, load figures and lead times are not published here; they follow the confirmed fitment and your quantity breaks.

AT A GLANCE
Who this is for  tricycle distributors, fleet workshops and dealer networks that replace rear axles on working cargo and passenger vehicles.
What we confirm  mounting dimensions, gear ratio, half-shaft and brake interfaces, wheel fixing, sealing, load duty and how the assembly mates to the motor and controller.
What we do not claim  we are not an axle manufacturer, and we do not publish load ratings, service-life claims or a statement that a unit fits any named vehicle brand.

The First Assembly to Fail on Rough Roads

A working tricycle carries loads over surfaces that would not trouble a passenger car. The rear axle takes that punishment directly: shock through the wheels, torque from the motor, heat in the differential and dust or water at the seals. Dealers in many markets consequently treat the rear axle as a planned replacement item rather than an unexpected repair, and build a reorder line around it.

That makes it a good product for a sourcing page and a bad product for a generic listing. Two assemblies can look identical in a photograph and differ in gear ratio, half-shaft length, drum offset or wheel bolt pattern. Our rear axle and drivetrain sourcing guide covers the selection method; this page is where you request the matched assembly. The wider cluster sits on the EV and spare parts pillar.

We work on the buy side as a China sourcing agent and freight forwarder, not as a factory. One fitment sheet goes to several screened plants, and we compare the answers rather than the adjectives.

Fitment Is a Drawing, Not an Adjective

Supplier listings describe axles as reinforced, heavy duty or thickened. None of those words tell a workshop whether the assembly will bolt to the frame, clear the cargo box, line up with the brake drum and accept the existing wheel. We ask for a dimensioned drawing tied to a retained reference sample, and we keep it versioned so the second order matches the first.

This resistance to vague fitment language is why the category converts well from search. A buyer searching for a rear axle usually already has a broken vehicle in the workshop and a set of dimensions in hand. They are not comparing lifestyle features; they want a part that fits on the first attempt. Our pre-shipment inspection service describes how those dimensional checks are recorded on a running batch.

The Fitment Sheet

Each row below is a field to confirm against the vehicle or the drawing. We do not publish load ratings, ratios or dimensions on this page; they are returned in writing for the specific model and recorded in the approval file.

Field What the enquiry must state What goes wrong if it is assumed Evidence to approve
Mounting geometry Axle tube length, spring seat positions and frame bracket spacing The assembly cannot be clamped to the chassis without modification Dimensioned drawing with tolerances, tied to a reference sample
Gear ratio family The route profile: flat urban, rural grades or heavy start-stop loads Correct fitment but wrong hill behaviour or excess motor current Written ratio confirmation and a matched motor and controller record
Half shaft and hub Shaft spline, hub offset and wheel bolt pattern Existing wheels will not seat or run true Interface drawing and photographs of both mating parts
Brake interface Drum or disc type, diameter family, backing plate and lever geometry Brake shoes or calliper parts from local stock will not fit Part code of the wear item and an interface photograph
Differential and sealing Housing type, seal arrangement and the ingress protection expected on your routes Water or dust ingress and early differential wear Housing drawing plus an agreed sealing check
Mating drivetrain How the motor, controller and axle are specified as one system Correct mechanics, but drivability and current behaviour do not match See the controller matching checklist and the drivetrain guide
Load duty The rated load case of the vehicle and the actual route condition Under-specification for the work the vehicle really does Supplier specification in writing, not a sales adjective

Where a fleet contains several body variants, each one gets its own row set. A cargo box and a passenger cabin rarely share the same axle configuration.

Gear Ratio and Route Conditions

Buyers often ask for the “strongest” ratio. There is no strongest, only a match to the route. A vehicle that spends its day on flat paved streets with frequent stops has a different optimum from one climbing graded rural tracks with a full box. The ratio also interacts with motor and controller settings, so we record all three together and confirm them against the battery and system matching guide where energy storage is part of the conversion.

Ask the supplier what happens to the spare parts list when the ratio changes. If the answer is “nothing”, the answer is probably incomplete: differential internals and half-shaft interfaces often move with the ratio family.

Weld, Housing and Sealing Checks

Structural parts fail at joints and seals. Before a batch is released we agree a check plan that is realistic for a workshop to verify and for a factory to evidence.

Check Failure mode it targets Evidence retained
Weld and bracket quality Cracking at spring seats and mounting lugs under rough-road load Photograph set at agreed inspection points and a signed check record
Housing and seal integrity Lubricant loss and water or dust ingress Seal arrangement confirmation and the agreed inspection result
Interface dimensions Assembly will not bolt up without rework Measured values against the versioned drawing
Rotation and noise Rough differential behaviour on the first run Agreed function check on a sample drawn from the running batch
Marking and traceability A field failure cannot be tied to one production run Part marking, batch code and carton mark matched to the packing list

Plant capability is gathered through our factory verification process. Where the axle ships together with controllers, brakes or other wear items from a second plant, we use the consolidation method in the spare parts consolidation guide.

Weight, Packing and Freight

An axle is dense, heavy and awkward. Unlike controllers, freight here is driven by actual weight, by how the assemblies are palletised and by whether protruding shafts are protected. We ask the supplier to state the packing method, the pallet or crate count, shaft and flange protection, corrosion protection during sea carriage and the carton or crate marks. Those details are part of the quotation, not an afterthought.

Delivery terms and import responsibility are recorded as described on our DDP shipping page, and the document set for a parts-only shipment is covered in the import documents checklist. First orders with a narrow model range can follow the small-batch sourcing route.

Planning the Reorder Line

The commercial reason to specify an axle carefully is that it will be bought again. We ask the supplier to name the matching wear parts, the part codes for the brake interface and the fitment cross-reference for the vehicle families in your fleet. That information is written into the after-sales file before the first shipment, so the second order is a part number rather than an investigation. Our multi-factory consolidation approach and custom packaging service cover the packing side; the regional guides give destination context.

Questions Workshops Ask First

Can you confirm this axle fits my tricycle from a photo?

A photograph starts the conversation but cannot confirm fitment. We need the mounting dimensions, wheel bolt pattern, brake interface and gear ratio family. Those go into a versioned drawing and a sample approval before a batch.

Is a reinforced axle always the right choice?

Not always. The right configuration follows the load case and route profile, and it has to match the motor and controller. We confirm the whole drivetrain as one system rather than maximising a single adjective.

Do you publish load ratings or service-life figures?

No. Those depend on the selected configuration and the supplier’s written specification. We record them in the approval file for your model rather than printing a general number that a buyer could rely on before fitment is confirmed.

How is a heavy assembly packed for sea freight?

We ask for the crate or pallet plan, shaft and flange protection, corrosion protection and crate marks as part of the quotation, then verify them during loading supervision. Freight is driven by weight and packing method, not just unit count.

Can I reorder a single axle later?

That is the point of keeping the fitment cross-reference. Once the model, ratio and brake interface are recorded, a reorder is a part number. We can also consolidate it with other wear items from different plants.

It helps to attach the axle mounting dimensions, wheel bolt pattern, a photograph of the brake interface and the current gear ratio or route profile. A drawing from the workshop is worth more than a long description. No obligation and no long form.
